The National Parks of Rwanda:
Rwanda Resorts and Lodges recommends that you visit one of the following national parks in Rwanda.
The Volcanoes National Park is “the heart of central Africa”.
The Volcanoes National Park is named after the chain of dormant volcanoes making up the Virunga Massif.
Situated in the far northwest of Rwanda, the Volcanoes National Park protects the steep slopes of this magnificent mountain range – home to the endangered mountain gorilla and a rich mosaic of montane ecosystems, which embrace evergreen and bamboo forest, open grassland, swamp, and heath.
The Akagera National Park is a relatively warm and low-lying area comprising of savannah, woodland, wetland, and a dozen lakes.
In partnership with African Parks, the Akagera National Park aims to transform the park into a world-class safari destination.
The largely open expanse is ideal for game viewing.
Since 2010 Akagera National Park has cut poaching to an all-time low with the introduction of a helicopter, a canine unit, and rhino trackers.
The only way to explore the park is by vehicle.
The Nyungwe National Park is one of the oldest rainforests in Africa.
The mountainous region is spectacularly beautiful and teaming with wildlife, including a small population of chimpanzees as well as 12 other species of primate.
With 15 trails visitors can choose to sample the delights of the forest or indulge themselves for a week or more in one of Africa’s most stunning forests.
Rwanda and Responsible Tourism:
Rwanda Resorts and Lodges is committed to responsible tourism.
We are constantly working to ensure we can live in sustainable harmony with the environment.
10% of the income from gorilla, safari, and other tourist permits, as well as park fees, is spent in partnership with local communities to change lives for the better.
Breathtaking Scenery of Rwanda:
Rwanda has epic scenery, and the vistas seem endless.
The country is full of beauty and exploring it is easy.
The country is very safe (ranked 9th safest in the world by the WEF).
